Which Course Should You Choose?

The right choice of course depends primarily on what you want to learn and how you intend to use the knowledge you gain. A different type of study makes sense for someone who wants a comprehensive understanding of nutrition than for someone focused on sports, children, a specific health area, or professional application. Therefore, the easiest first step is to clarify what you expect from your studies and how you plan to use the knowledge you acquire.

First, Decide What You Expect from Your Studies

Each course differs in scope and focus, so there is no single course that is best for everyone.

Before choosing, try to answer two questions:

  • Do I want a broad overview, or am I interested in one specific topic?
  • Will I use the knowledge mainly for myself, or also professionally?

Your answers will help you choose the course that best matches your goals.

I Want a Comprehensive Understanding of Nutrition

If you do not want to focus on just one narrow topic but would rather build a broader system of knowledge, the Nutrition Advisor course is the best fit.

It is suitable for anyone who wants to understand the basic principles of nutrition and how they relate to one another, explore different areas of nutrition, assess different needs and situations, and create a foundation for further specialization.

The course title does not mean that it is intended only for people who want to work as nutrition advisors. It is also suitable for those who want to gain more extensive knowledge for themselves or their families.

If you are not yet sure which area of nutrition you want to focus on but would like to understand nutrition in a broader context, Nutrition Advisor is a natural starting point.

I Want to Use My Knowledge Professionally

In this case, the Nutrition Advisor course is a suitable foundation.

It allows you to build a broad knowledge base and then expand it with specialized courses according to your needs.

I Want to Study Mainly for Myself or My Family

Studying for personal reasons does not automatically mean that you only need a short or basic course. What matters most is how broad a subject you want to cover.

If you want to gain a comprehensive understanding of nutrition, the Nutrition Advisor course is the most suitable option, even if you do not plan to use your knowledge professionally.

If you are mainly interested in one specific area, a specialized course may be more practical, such as Child Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Nutrition Guide for Diabetes, or Vegetarianism and Veganism.

When choosing, the key question is therefore whether you want a broad overview or prefer to focus on a specific area of nutrition.

I Want to Focus on Sports

If you are interested in the relationship between nutrition, sports performance, recovery, and physical activity, the Sports Nutrition course is the best match.

It is designed for athletes, coaches, parents of children involved in sports, nutrition advisors, and anyone who wants to work more effectively with nutrition in connection with regular physical activity.

I Want to Focus on Child Nutrition

If you are mainly interested in children’s diets, the Nutrition for Children course is a suitable choice.

It can be useful not only for parents but also for people who work with children or want to better understand their nutritional needs at different stages of development.

I Want to Combine Nutrition with Cooking

If you are mainly interested in the practical connection between nutrition, food, and cooking methods, take a look at the Nutrition Chef course.

It is particularly useful if you want to apply your new knowledge to meal preparation, recipe development, working with food, gastronomy, and practical meal planning.

Its purpose is not only to explain the principles of nutrition, but also to translate them directly into practical work in the kitchen.

I Want to Learn Mainly About Healthy Ageing

The University of the Third Age offers a separate educational path.

It is designed for people who want to use nutrition primarily to support health and quality of life as they get older.

The starting programme is Food as Medicine, followed by specialized topics such as Strong Bones for Life, Keeping Your Brain Fit, and (Post)Menopause in Balance.

What our graduates say about the study

Michal Pelc

I chose Mr. Jelínek's nutrition course primarily because of the option to study online and work on the study materials according to my own schedule, without any pressure or stress. The study materials are excellently crafted and especially tailored to help students apply the information in practice as effectively as possible. Additionally, the course is comprehensive in nature, covering not only the common scientific approach to nutrition but also offering extensive information on various alternative approaches such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.

Daniel Lupienski

When I started looking for a nutrition course, I focused on finding one that was accredited. After a while, I came across the Nutrition and Supplementation Advisor course, which was not accredited, so I initially overlooked it. The other accredited courses I found seemed too short, so I started to find out why the Nutrition and Supplementation Advisor course wasn’t accredited. After a while, I understood and enrolled in it. So many things that this course taught me could definitely not be offered by another accredited course. I really appreciated the online format (I could study whenever I had time and interest). I highly commend the consultation section with each lesson, where you can ask anything related to the lesson, and the instructor will respond as quickly as possible. The educational game is very well designed, and you can immediately see where your meal plan has shortcomings. If you are interested in the world of nutrition, take this course. You won't regret it.

After writing and publishing two cookbooks, I started to further deepen my education in the field of nutrition, and when I was searching for a suitable nutrition course, the ATAC course caught my attention with its good recommendations. Its length and structured content appealed to me. This is not common, especially in Slovakia, where nutrition consultant courses are generally quite superficial and short. I was looking for something more. Mr. Jelínek's courses offered me precisely what I was looking for. The course was systematic and excellently crafted to provide a solid foundation on which I could continue to build. The broad scope of the study gave me the understanding that nutrition is highly individual and not black and white. Albert Einstein said: "The important thing is not to stop questioning." I consider this truth crucial when studying nutrition. Studying with humility and constant questions at the end of sentences ensures that nutrition does not become just a theory but, on the contrary, a living whole where we primarily consider the individuality of each person. The duration of the nutrition course is a huge plus for allowing the information to settle in the mind, deepened by additional study, and enabling us to piece it together like a puzzle. Besides the rich theory, I see the ZOF application as a significant advantage, where we almost daily created model meal plans for a wide range of clients with different needs. Therefore, the course was also practical, which every student will appreciate. The state-authorized exam was an excellent verification of my knowledge and a confirmation that the ATAC course is truly well-designed and comprehensive enough to master this exam, which is not yet available in Slovakia. It was also a starting point for further studies that I began. The GAPS protocol and working in child nutrition fascinated me so much that I delved deeper into the study of this protocol. Our gut microbiome is closely linked with our immunity and health, both physical and mental, influencing our cravings, mood, and hormones. It is worth taking care of it. I am immensely grateful to Mr. Jelínek for his humanity and professionalism, his openness and diligence, his personal approach, and his valuable advice.
