Studying nutrition can mean something different to everyone. Some want to better understand their own diet and decision-making within the family; others are expanding their professional knowledge or exploring a new field of expertise. The common foundation is a better grasp of nutrition and the ability to apply the knowledge gained in specific situations.
Our courses are currently in preparation. The study system described here is the one we use in our courses. Subscribe to the NutriCourses Newsletter for new articles, practical nutrition insights, and updates when enrolment opens.
People come to courses with different experiences, needs, and goals.
Some want to navigate their own nutrition better; others look for information they can apply to their family’s diet. Another may already be working in sport, gastronomy, or another field and wants to broaden their knowledge. For some students, nutrition may also be an area they want to pursue professionally later on.
The benefits of studying therefore cannot be assessed solely by whether a graduate starts working as a nutrition consultant. The knowledge gained can be valuable in many other areas of personal and professional life.
One of the most common reasons for studying is the desire to better understand one’s own diet.
Studying can help you develop a more comprehensive view of nutrition and navigate the abundance of information, recommendations, and often conflicting claims more effectively. Gradually, you learn to distinguish essential information from less important, evaluate individual recommendations in a broader context, understand the relationships between foods, nutrients, and the overall diet, work with individual needs and goals, and avoid automatically adopting simple rules that may not be suitable for everyone.
Studying provides you with a broader knowledge base that enables you to assess your own decisions in context more effectively.
Nutrition plays into many everyday situations – from grocery shopping and meal planning to deciding how to adjust eating habits according to a specific goal or the needs of individual family members.
You will therefore use the knowledge you gain when choosing foods, assessing the composition of a diet, navigating nutrition guidelines, and planning meals for children or other members of the household. Studying will also help you better recognize their differing needs and tailor practical solutions to them.
Completing a single course doesn’t have to be the end point. Broader study of nutrition can create a foundation you can later build on with a more specialized topic. Likewise, someone may start with a specific area and then find they want to expand their knowledge.
A typical path might be, for example, to continue from the Nutrition Consultant course to Sport Nutrition, Nutrition Chef or Nutrtion for Children.
Studying nutrition can be useful even without changing your career path. For many people, it is a way to expand their expertise and apply it in their current job – typically, for example, for trainers, hospitality workers, instructors, people working in the healthy-lifestyle sector, certain healthcare and helping professions, or nutrition consultants who are broadening or updating their knowledge.
The specific way of applying it always depends on the given profession and its competencies. Completing a course by itself does not expand the legally defined scope of practice of individual professions.

The course for becoming a nutrition advisor completely changed not only my perspective on nutrition itself but also my perception of other aspects of life. It truly enriched me with knowledge that impacts my daily functioning. For that, I am very grateful.

I have been interested in health for some period of time. I get to this issue thanks to my personal development and when I read books by Luisa Hay, I liked the perspective of disease from psychosomatic point of view. Gradually, I started to perceive diseases in a different way and when somebody said that he had some disease, it occurred to me what could be the reason of that. However, my diabetes (that I had for 5 years) was in the beginning of my way to health. I was able to gradually get rid of it, but due to my approach to nutrition it came back to my life. Last year, I decided that I would change my diet. I immediately stopped eating meat and went over to “raw till 4” and in September my values were in good order. Thanks to change of lifestyle I also get rid of other diseases (e.g. Candida). So I decided that I would help others to understand this disease – type 2 diabetes. However, I was afraid that I would hurt people so I decided to graduate course of Martin Jelínek first. I wrote every single word he said. And then I realized that I need to educate myself more to be able to safely help people. After research on the internet I decided to graduate next course of Martin Jelínek. I am happy for this decision, because the course fulfilled my expectations. I was able to understand how it works in our body, when we eat something, which is important for people with diabetes. I also realized that radical change of diet without meat and animal products, only with fruits and vegetables helped me, but it doesn´t have to work for others. I learnt to respect other people in what they eat. During study, I also admitted that dietary supplements are very important. I started to trust them, which I didn´t before the course. I also learnt about somatotypes and their nutrition. I couldn´t find such information on the internet. I also enjoyed lessons about Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. However, I am not decided which direction I will go. I also enjoyed technical aspect of the course. I learnt how to work with mind maps that helped me to remember lessons. However, creation of menus in ZOF game captivated me the most. I really enjoyed it. On the internet, I found various applications, but nobody has ZOF. It is simple, well arranged and it is easy and pleasant to work with it. There is also online advisory center where Martin Jelínek patiently answers questions of his students. I am looking forward to further courses of Martin Jelínek. I would like to thank for chance to study online and for sharing his experience. I can warmly recommend the course, because I was very satisfied.

How to describe the courses of instructor Martin Jelínek – I dare to say that he is building a truly unique approach to nutrition here in the Czech Republic. He combines insights from Western nutrition research with the teachings of ancient Eastern philosophies. He looks at nutrition holistically and, regardless of the goal, strives to ensure that the chosen approach is sustainable in the long term. I believe that a true expert is recognized by the humility with which they approach their field. With Martin, you can see that the depth of his knowledge and the breadth of perspectives he tries to apply to a particular issue simply doesn't allow him to see things in black and white. I think he is aware that even in the field of nutrition, our knowledge is quite limited, and it's necessary to think in context, evaluate carefully, experiment patiently, and observe. I really like the way he teaches us to think – I would underline the word "think" :-) because you definitely won't encounter any quick and easy nutrition recipes here :-). You will learn to think in much broader contexts than before. You will gain respect for nutrition as such. There will no longer be "good" or "bad"; from now on, you will evaluate everything in context. Very inspiring, fulfilling, and, to some extent, addictive. At the same time, I would really like to commend the business team, which only underscores the described approach – everything is seamless, with complete professionalism and humanity, thank you very much to all of you!
