Hello,
Is chicory syrup a suitable alternative sweetener? From the lesson, it seems to be quite an ideal replacement for sugar, considering that it is essentially a soluble fiber with a sweet taste. What are its potential disadvantages?
Thank you very much.
Chicory syrup is a nutritionally and health-wise very interesting alternative to sugar. The main advantage is its high content of soluble fiber inulin, high sweetness, and low glycemic index (GI) values. It influences blood glycemia and the nutrition of probiotic cultures in the intestinal tract, which makes it stand out quite a bit among sweeteners.
