Given the wide range of difficulties that leaky gut syndrome can cause, I am curious if there is any examination that can reliably diagnose this syndrome?
Furthermore, I am interested in whether the use of systemic antifungals, for example, can contribute to the development of the syndrome (I am asking because of my own experience with a whole range of difficulties right after this treatment)?

There is an examination available, such as the lactulose/mannitol test (where a solution containing lactulose, mannitol, and glucose is consumed on an empty stomach, followed by a 5-hour urine collection to monitor the levels of the individual sugars). The causes of the problem are numerous, and it is often a multifactorial phenomenon. However, medication use is cited as one of the real causes, especially with long-term medication.
