ZOF (Zone of Optimal Functioning) is an interactive learning application that connects theory with practice in our courses. It helps you create and evaluate meal plans for a variety of situations, whether for the health of the whole family, sports performance, or dietary therapy. With ZOF, learning becomes a practical experience you can use every day. It works on the principle of learning by doing, so you learn naturally, enjoyably, and with immediate practical application.
During your studies, you put the theory you learn into practice. Because we teach how diet affects health, this “practice” consists of creating meal plans for particular people in different situations. The application guides you through the entire process in every course, from choosing foods to the detailed evaluation of a meal plan:
1. Create meal plans
Based on the assignment, you create a meal plan for the entire day. ZOF includes a database of thousands of foods and hundreds of tested recipes, making it easy to choose ingredients and meals that suit your needs and preferences.
2. Analyse parameters
You see detailed data on energy amounts, nutrient ratios, glycaemic response, and other key indicators. You can easily tell whether a meal plan meets the criteria. You also learn to interpret the results just as you would when evaluating a real client.
3. ZOF suggests what to improve
The application highlights weak points and suggests specific improvements. This lets you know exactly how to adjust the meal plan so it meets every requirement. Over time, you build the confidence to create an optimal plan even without the application’s support.
„When I was developing a new learning system, I wanted to create a tool that would allow students to put theory into practice immediately. I believe learning has the greatest value when you try it on real examples straight away. That is why ZOF is not merely software, but a guide that leads you every day towards confidence in adjusting eating habits.“
Mgr. Martin Jelínek
creator of the ZOF application
The people who have already tried it describe the benefits of ZOF best:
The six-month Nutrition and Supplementation Adviser course was the very first course I enrolled in, so I had no idea what to expect: daily study of theory followed by putting it into practice in the excellent ZOF application. I spent hours on some assignments. I cannot say I always smiled while doing them; there were days when I cursed the whole thing – lots of theory, tests, and assignments to complete. But I never forgot why I was doing it, and looking back now, I can say that it was all worth it. I cannot imagine another course giving me more than this one taught by Mr Jelínek. The sophisticated ZOF application deserves much of the credit; I have never encountered anything similar anywhere else. It is one of this course’s greatest strengths because it allows you to apply the theory you have studied immediately in practice. I am glad I did not choose a course limited only to macronutrients and their ratios, the glycaemic index, and calorie deficit.

After writing and publishing two cookbooks, I began to educate myself even more intensively in nutrition. When I was looking for a suitable nutrition course, ATAC courses caught my attention because of their positive recommendations. I see the course length as a major advantage, as it gives information time to settle, be deepened through further study, and be assembled like a puzzle. Alongside the extensive theory, I consider the ZOF application a great benefit. In it, we created sample meal plans almost every day for a broad range of clients with different requirements. This made the course practical as well, which every student will appreciate.

I joined the course following a personal recommendation. At the time, I had a university education in physical education and several years of experimenting with different nutritional approaches on myself. My biggest concern was that I would spend most of the time repeating information I already knew and would not truly gain anything from the course. I was genuinely impressed by Mr Jelínek’s holistic approach. Regardless of their level, he can give students a wealth of interesting information and translate it directly into practice through the ZOFapp nutrition software, which has no competitor on the domestic market in the breadth of its functions.

No other application offers such a comprehensive connection to professional nutrition education. ZOF is not just software, but a learning tool available exclusively in ATAC courses. This allows you to learn more effectively and systematically, with support you will not find elsewhere.
The ZOF learning application is available only to students of ATAC courses. You receive it automatically as part of your studies, and it remains available after you finish. You will therefore have a tool you can use every day at home, in sport, and in professional practice.
