The Nutrition and Supplementation Advisor course is truly comprehensive; some topics only settle in the mind months later. Before the course, I felt I was interested in nutrition, but during it, I realized how vast the field truly is. We covered topics I had no idea about (thermics, energy tendencies, fiber excess, sprouting, fermentation, contraindications of supplements), but now I see how important they are. Still, I feel the course information is just the foundation on which I will build by deepening my understanding of these topics.
I greatly appreciate the comprehensive approach to the subject. I was looking for a course that wasn't just focused on the proportion of macronutrients or micronutrients. I myself suspected that nutrition is related to psychology, that everyone is an individual, that the same diet in different conditions wouldn't be identical, that we shouldn’t eat the same thing in winter as in summer, etc. I verified all of this in this course. Throughout the course, Mr. Jelínek taught us that we need to respect individual differences, that everything is relative, that every action has a reaction, and that nutrition must be approached holistically to be effective, and that excessive generalizations can cause harm. I experienced this myself as a customer, where the simplified advice from a nutritionist left me feeling unwell and extremely cold.
I'm enthusiastic about the educational game ZOF; it allowed me to practice individual issues practically, getting under my skin quite automatically and faster than if I had learned them purely theoretically. I frequently encountered "problems" that I might only run into in practice, and I could play around with how to solve them, thus learning something new. It's like learning through play. The recipes were also beneficial, helping me "cook" when I was out of inspiration.
Apart from the benefits mentioned above, the course had another tremendous advantage for me, which was the ability to study online. During the course, I was moving to another city (100 km away) and it wouldn't have been feasible for me to commute during such a move.
