For a few years now, I've been interested in nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, natural healing, and Eastern philosophies and teachings, due to my own health reasons. One day, the idea came to my mind that I should start studying in a comprehensive course under the guidance of an experienced instructor, so I could learn even more about health and even try to help myself and others with nutrition and start making a living by doing what I enjoy. While searching for a course, I was primarily attracted by the fact that the Nutrition and Supplementation Advisor course is completely online. Then, I read more about it and was very impressed by its scope, duration, number of study hours, and inclusion of Eastern theories. The online format suited me because I could study anytime and anywhere I wanted. Throughout the course, I learned many new facts about nutrition and health, lots of natural supplements in the realm of supplementation, and how to assist with various health issues through them. I greatly appreciated the holistic approach to health and nutrition, the fusion of Western and Eastern nutritional theories, and the ability to try meal plans in an online educational game. Mr. Magistr Jelínek was always available to me and was always willing to answer and advise. He strives for people to graduate from his course truly knowledgeable about nutrition and health and to focus in their practice on finding the causes of illnesses also in relation to diet. I learned not only to create a personalized meal plan based on calories, macro, and micronutrients but also to include the acid-base balance, the thermic effect of foods, and the energetic tendencies of foods, to perceive each being as individual, and that each person needs an individual meal plan according to their current needs. The course truly taught me in six months how to run my practice in the field of nutrition, and upon completion, I feel like all the information fell into place, and I feel that I can really incorporate the gained knowledge into my consulting and help people with nutrition. The thesis at the end of the course helped me a lot to verify our knowledge. We were given a real case from Mr. Magistr's past practice and had to puzzle over and think about how to combine those Eastern and Western theories, find the cause of health issues, and based on the gathered information and the client's individuality, create a meal plan. I was a bit apprehensive about this thesis, but it was of great benefit to me, where I got to try how to really proceed. I also really like Mr. Magistr's approach after completing the course, that he is willing to advise us in our own practice and upholds the motto that a graduate is a colleague, not a competitor. (Also, of course, so that we don't bring him shame, too :)). I'm glad I completed the course and trained with someone who is so genuinely interested in and evolving in nutrition and health.
