Oats

Oats are among the healthiest grains in the world. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. They contain high amounts of vitamin B1, zinc, iron, proteins, and unsaturated fatty acids. Oats are also an excellent source of dietary fiber, which supports digestive system health and helps prevent constipation. Their consumption can contribute to overall health and well-being by supporting heart health, regulating blood sugar levels, and potentially aiding in weight loss.

Oats are also known for their nutritional properties that can help with various health issues. For instance, beta-glucans, a type of fiber found in oats, have been shown to effectively reduce blood cholesterol levels. Oats also contain antioxidants known as avenanthramides, which may help lower blood pressure by increasing the production of nitric oxide, helping to dilate blood vessels and improve circulation. Additionally, oats are gluten-free, meaning they are safe for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

Could you please clarify the status of the cereal: OATS? Some sources indicate that it is gluten-free. Thank you.

As a gluten-free food, a manufacturer can label a product based on legislative rules if it contains less than 20 mg of gluten per 1 kg of food. Some types of oats meet this requirement, so you may encounter this label despite the fact that oats are generally classified as gluten-containing grains.
