Nutri Courses

Advisory

Hello,

I would like to ask for your advice. I have a six-month-old daughter to whom I serve vegetable purees every day for lunch (homemade, not store-bought). I would like to know if I should adhere to any rule regarding the frequency of certain vegetables in her diet. I am aware that variety is important, but is there a guideline on how many times a week I can serve carrots, broccoli, or cauliflower? Or does it not matter that much?

Thank you very much for your response.

Do not worry about this too much and focus on ensuring that the types of vegetables served are of appropriate quality (the most risky factors are the content of fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, etc.). A meaningful guarantee at this level is organic origin. Even in this area, there are exceptions; preventively avoid excessive consumption of cruciferous vegetables, which are a source of goitrogenic substances (they suppress thyroid function).
