Hello,
How does it stand with proteins in the case of kidney problems, considering that they are the most important macronutrient? It is almost impossible to remove them from the diet (and probably not desirable), so in what quantities should they be consumed or not consumed?
The specific functional disorder in question always matters. Based on the specific diagnosis, protein intake is then adjusted (reduced), typically to values around 0.6-0.8 g per 1 kg of body weight (exact values are determined by the attending physician).
