Nutri Courses

Advisory

Good day,

I would like to ask a question that has been on my mind for a long time, and internet articles are full of contradictory opinions. I am curious as to why some athletes and bodybuilders, people with a larger amount of muscle mass, eat cottage cheese, protein, and other foods with a high protein content in the evening. Is it to ensure that the muscles continue to work and do not "diminish" during sleep? Considering that digesting proteins requires the most energy.

Thank you very much in advance for your response and have a lovely evening.

Yes, you understand correctly. The aim for this group of athletes is to maximize protein anabolism in muscle tissue while simultaneously preventing (potential) muscle mass loss. As this is their only goal, the health impact of such manipulations is disregarded. The sad fact is that this information is spreading among athletes in other fields, and to an extreme, even among the non-athletic population, unfortunately with all the health consequences.
