Detoxification

Detoxification is the process of removing toxic substances from the body. It is often used to refer to various diets, fasts, or other methods that aim to help the body rid itself of harmful substances. These methods may include the restriction of certain foods, the consumption of specific foods or supplements that support detoxification, or practices like saunas or colonic hydrotherapy that are intended to promote the elimination of toxins.

Detox diets commonly involve limiting ultra-processed foods, sugars, fats, and alcohol, while increasing the intake of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, water, and teas with detoxifying properties. The goal is to support the body in its natural detoxification processes, which primarily occur in the liver and kidneys. However, some detoxification methods are extreme and may have potentially harmful effects if not conducted properly or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Hello.
How often do you recommend including a detox preventively for a relatively healthy individual? Once a month/week? Which is better for the organism, a water fasting day or a day based on drinking green juices?
Thanks.

If you have a tendency to undertake cleansing regimens, always base your actions on your health status. In general, once the body is subjected to systematically managed catabolism, there is an increase in the concentration of waste substances in the blood - this burdens the cardiovascular system, liver and kidney function, the immune system, and overall increases the state of fatigue. For a person who is not entirely healthy, this represents an unnecessary risk, so it is sensible not to strive for the fastest effect and result at any cost, but to proceed very slowly and carefully. For healthy individuals, as part of a preventive effort, focus on a method that will be satisfactory both organizationally and personally, as it never makes sense to force yourself into anything. Practice shows that most people prefer short-term juice fasts over plain water, but it is a matter of personal preference. A meaningful approach seems to be a system of one-day cleansing regimens once a week.
