Nutri Courses

Advisory

Dear Mr. Jelínek,

Is it possible to estimate how long freshly pressed vegetable juice can be stored in the refrigerator while maintaining its freshness parameters if daily juicing isn't possible? I am also interested in the "shelf life" of sprouted seeds, such as mung beans, alfalfa, etc.

Thank you for your response.

For cold-pressed juices, ensuring the lowest possible temperature and preventing oxygen exposure is crucial for their shelf life. The optimal approach is to store them in vacuum systems and in the refrigerator, allowing them to last for several days (2-3).

For sprouted seeds, temperature (low) and light (minimal) are important to reduce the activity of microorganisms that spoil the food. Again, it is advisable to store them in the refrigerator, where they tend to have a slightly longer shelf life compared to juices.
