Boswellia

Boswellia refers to the tree Boswellia serrata. Its resin is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. This resin is rich in boswellic acids, which are considered the main active components with therapeutic effects. Boswellia is often used to treat arthritis, asthma, ulcerative colitis, and many other chronic inflammatory conditions.

Good day Mr. Jelínek,
do you recommend taking boswellia along with chondroitin and glucosamine supplements? Do they have synergistic effects or quite the opposite?

In the case of this combination, it is not so much about a synergistic effect, but rather a complementary one - the main effect of boswellic acid is its positive impact on reducing inflammation, which is beneficial for the nutrition of joint and connective tissue as a supplement to the nutritional effects of chondroprotectives. This combination is therefore advantageous, which is why many supplement manufacturers are keen to use it.
